I'm interested in putting together a 9mm AR that will take Glock mags. I would prefer to buy the upper and lower, as I dont have any experience with building ARs. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

ETA-I would like to buy an assembled lower and an assembled upper. I see DDLES sells small frame Glock mag lowers, but they only have stripped ones.

Lowers are really easy to assemble; uppers are, too, but take a few tools.

A 9mm is as easy as a .22 to put together. No gas blocks or aligning barrel nuts to let gas tubes through.

The thing I have noticed about the 9s is that there is a lot less good common information on the nuances, and traits of the variation. You really have to dive in and read as much as possible. There are also far fewer companies that sell AR parts in this caliber so you have to be patient at times.

Can you make toast?  If yes, you can build an AR lower.

I dont know of anyone that sells assembled lowers that take glock mags. There are a few available that take colt pattern mags if you really dont want to put one together yourself.

As others have stated the upper is more complicated to build than the lower. If you are going to use a DDLES lower I highly recommend going through riflegear.com as several people who have ordered directly from them got stood up.

I know of 5 outfits that produce Glock 9mm pistol caliber carbines, DDLES, Lone Wolf for a AR varient, Just right carbine, Thureon Defense for AR style, and (the odd duck) Kel-Tec sub2000. If you don't want to build, then tune. Pick a variant, if you want something unique, try to get the DDLES or the LW but they are a challenge to find. Word of caution with DDLES, their delivery times are somewhat curious so you may want to look at a third party source ie gunbroker or riflegear. There is plenty of info on the interweb about the reasons.
