| Slowly getting my first AR 9MM together(pretty fun so far) I would like to order some 32rd mags in the next few days and I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions and what MFG to get?? maybe some I should stay away from?? I was looking at the C-Products mag, the price is reasonable. Thanks in advance. |

There was a post just like this a few days back. Easy read for quick info.
I suggest metalform mags. Colt works too but more $$$ for the same thing as the metalform get these |

Save yourself the trouble and just buy the metalforms. They work pretty much always. I would love to see Magpul give it a shot, but probably not going to happen anytime soon. Quoted:

Any polymer magazine suggestions? Pro Mag any good with a colt style 9mm AR? Save yourself the trouble and just buy the metalforms. They work pretty much always. I would love to see Magpul give it a shot, but probably not going to happen anytime soon. I find it odd that with so many manufacturers making AR mags, nobody has has started producing a "full body" 9mm mag. Something like the BDM or CMMG .22 mags but in 9mm, no block required. I'd think they'd sell like crazy. |

Actually Olympic makes a full body 9mm magazine but it looks horrible. I have toyed with the idea of an insert into a regular mag body that has the ejector and the feed ramp built in. In the end it would cost more to manufacture and only be about as reliable as what is already available. The DDLES reduced magwell lower was a great idea but I think he's gone out of business. Last I heard a lot of people were PO'ed because they ordered lowers and after months and months of waiting they get no response via telephone or email.
I know it could be done, but is it worth it? |

Buy one of each and try them. 9mm builds are a little like 22LR, you have to experiment to find out what your rifle likes.
I bought a bunch of Metalforms for my DDLES dedicated lower and they all work flawlessly. I shoot competition with my rifle and didn't like dropping $30+ mags in the dirt all the time, so I bought a $12 polymer Promag. Damn thing worked perfectly, so I bought a bunch more. Well over a year of monthly matches and about 3K rounds and have not had a problem with them. They are also a lot lighter than the metal mags. Bought a couple ASC mags, had trouble feeding, put Wolff extra power springs in, and seem to work now, but really don't trust them. |
