Bought myself a Colt AR 22 last Saturday. Does anyone own one of these or has anyone shot one? Haven't got to shoot mine yet. I read good reviews on Gunblast about it. Like to hear some opinions please. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I haven't heard much positive feedback here on the colt.
Never tested one so I can't elaborate.

I have had my Colt (Umarex) for about 2 years.....I changed it to an Ops type by adding a 4 rail handguard and a few other goodies......Mine is the newer model with the 90* safety and working dust cover.

I totally love this gun...I also have a S&W M&P 1522, a HK MP5 SD (Umarex),and a GSG AK 47 22.......................There are small things that the manufacturers could have done better and I have had no difficulties with the companies standing behind their products.

There are people with mixed experience with this rifle. I would take it out with some different ammo choices and see how it works. Early on the first ones had some issues but I have heard the later ones have worked this out. Also, I think there are some adjustments you can make for the power of the ammo you are using. Try some different ammo, find out what it likes and then feed it what it wants.

Enjoy!

Finally shot my Colt. I removed the carry handle sight and installed a Bushnell dot sight with a 3 moa dot. I sighted it in at 50 yds. I had to use the magazine as my rest because it was so long. I got about a 2 in. group. Not too bad but I believe they make a 10 rd. magazine for it. That way I can bench it and try for smaller groups.I had no problems with feeding or ejection of ammo. There is a adjustment screw for different kinds of ammo on the rear of the bolt. I am very pleased with it so far. My Colt is manufactured by Walther if that makes a difference.

2" group at 50 yards with a Red Dot?  Pretty good actually. You could try a scope and various ammo and may find it does much better. Glad to hear yours is working OK. Guess they got the bugs out, which goes along with what I have heard about them.

Biggest gripe is that some of the small controls don't mimic those on a centerfire AR.
