Can't speak for TACCOM (although the rest of Tim's offerings are sound), but I think the CMMG SS bolt is about as good as it gets.

I have both the CMMG SS and TACCOM Nickle Plated.  I prefer TACCOM.

I feel like they all do the same thing. They operate off blowback inertia, spit out the old brass and strip off a new round from your feeding device. All things being equal, i believe the winner goes to nickel plated versions of the bolts. Stainless steel "looks nice" but its not as smooth and slippery as nickel plated stuff. So my vote is for taccom or spikes. I dont think spikes makes the drop in kits anymore though......?
I will say this though, hands down best chamber adapter is a spikes!!! They are nickel plated and have the 2 orings to seal against your chamber and keep the soot in the barrel and keep the adapter well centered inside your upper. If you can find a spikes chamber adapter(easier to find then the whole spikes conversion kit) pair that up with a Ni plated bolt and win win!!

I have owned the Spikes Nickel plated, the Cleiner, and CMMG in both parkerized and stainless. In my personal experience the CMMG's worked best. I have NOT used a TACCOM one so I can not speak for it. The Spikes I had was the most problematic. I ended up selling it off, taking a hit on it. It was a few years back and maybe they improved. Could have been it didn't like the lower I was using (but the CMMG worked fine with the same lower).

While there is great love for the stainless steel I have it and the Parkerized model and can tell no performance difference between them. I do like the fact you can get parts for the CMMG and their warranty service has always been first class. (But same is true of TACCOM)

I think most all of the ones named here will serve you well. Its good to have choices.....a few years back we didn't!

Nickle plated Taccom is my choice.
Runs smooth as butter.
Comes with the Taccom Extractor and Firing pin.

It is also a better built unit.
Backer plates are not breaking off the Taccoms as are the CMMG's.

Thanks for the suggestions, I currently have both a Ciener and an older CMMG, the CMMG works great but I'm in the market for a new unit for my wife's gun. I think I'll try the TACCOM

Do not own a Taccom bolt but have other Taccom products and if the Bolts are anything like his other stuff, they should be great.

I do however say this without owning a Taccom one,  I personally would prefer stainless over coated. Only a personal preferance I guess..

I really do not think you could go wrong with either choice..
