What I have; 9mm upper, TROS 5" 3 lug barrel, complete BCG and a SWR Octane 9 HD suppressor. All I need to attach the barrel is a barrel nut, correct? And is there a 9mm barrel nut or are the barrel nuts universal? What forearm is good to use where the suppressor will work? I like the look of the Daniel Defense 4.0 lite rail but I can't find them anywhere. Any recommendations on other short rails would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The barrel nut is typically germane to the rail, and you will need a rail with an I.D. large enough for your suppressor.

The Spike's BAR/SAR series or Seeking Precision offerings are a place to start.

Seekins MCSR V2 is lightweight and has an ID of 1.8":  http://www.seekinsprecision.com/quad-rails-hand-guards/mcsr-mod-quad-rail.html/

As Killerb6 said, the nut is usually specific to the rail, and would come with the required parts.  Some rails use the "standard" barrel nut, in which case you'll have to buy the regular nut separately.  I have that same barrel and suppressor and use a carbine length YHM diamond rail with it.

Thanks guys! I'm thinking about going with the Spikes Tactical 7" BAR rail.

I went down this road with my 5.56 SBR.  I got the Spike's Tactical BAR and shoved an AAC M4-2000 partially under the rail.  It gets hot QUICK.  It looked cool as hell, but functionally - not so good.  I replaced the rail with a shorter one and got my barrel cut/crowned so that the supressor just snugs up to the end of the rail - but doesn't slide inside.

After getting my heat buildup lesson the hard way with the 5.56 - I've decided  build my 9mm SBR the same way.  I've ordered a 10.5" YHM barrel that I'm going to have cut down to about 8.5" so that it perfectly matches my 7.5 Troy rail.

I a .22lr upper with a Daniel Defense rail and a Silencerco Sparrow tucked underneath, now that combo is tits!
Obviously you don't have the same heat build up like you do with 9mm and 5.56 so I'm able to get away with it.

I never considered the forearm getting hot. Thanks for the insight on that! Thanks again for all the post guys!

I have not shot it yet...still waiting to build up the lower....so I can't comment on heat.  But the Seekins MCSR v2 is a perfect fit for the Multimount and a perfect fit in my hands.  Maybe I'll get some Keymod panels for heat mitigation.

FWIW, my Gemtech Raptor II fits under my Samson Evolution handguard on my 9mm AR build.  Not sure what the OD of the Octane is, but if it's the same as the Raptor, you'll be GTG.
