| Bought a cmmg 22 upper and love it. Took it out yesterday and today and shot 1050 rounds through it. I noticed it didn't like the bulk Remington but ate the federal fine. What have you guys found to make it shoot remington better? |

Likely nose up into the top of the chamber. Remington, especially Golden
Bullets has always been hit and miss at feeding in AR-22's. Polish the feed ramp with a Dremel, small polishing wheel and Semi Chrome Polish or similar. I can turn it into a mirror in just a couple minutes but it hasn't done the job to make Remington's 100% for me. TACCOM3G has some really great things you can add that will help overall reliability. Buffer Plug, extractor and a firing pin. Good Luck, Dave in Florida |

Quoted: I don't buy Remington rimfire ammo anymore. My guns won't shoot it so I don't buy it. I thought about that but with ammo hard to get, ill take anything. I have Whittaker guns close by which is a very large gun store and also know what we have coming to Ruralking before the trucks arrive. |

After a few thousand rounds, or by polishing the chamber (buzzing) the CMMG upper will shoot just about anything until it gets dirty. Dave N I FINALLY got to shoot my CMMG upper today. I think that it has pretty much moved to first choice in what to take to the range. |

Stored away in the archives there is a step-by-step procedure for doing the ramp polish. I do it to all my firearms as soon as I buy them.
The problem with some of the Remington's is that the bullets are not crimped very tight and when they try to feed on a semi-auto with a steep feed ramp they twist and jam. Polishing will help greatly but if they are from a really loose batch they may give you problems. Last box of the Rem's I had, I gave away to a guy with a bolt gun as they worked fine in that firearm. |

I have had good results with varying ammo, but never tried Remington because the booklet said not to.
The bulk of mine's diet is Federal bulk and Winchester white box (555/333). CCI Minimags also work nice, but I save those for more fussy guns. I also used some CCI blazers, but they were dirty so I haven't bought them recently. |
