I bought a ATI lower to build a dedicated .22lr for my son and I. I have read about the CMMG, Spike's, and TacSol uppers, but I have also seen a few good and bad reviews for the ATI upper.
So are they any good? |

CMMG is the way to go. They last forever and should something need replace...you can buy any part for it. There are even after-market parts for it! There are tens of thousands of them out there too...which means parts support.
Tac Sol is a good product but they won't sell you parts. They don't have the last round hold open feature nor the forward assist. Also, that glued together barrel thing...ummm. The ATI..read about it. Some swear by it, others swear at it. Pick your side. |

The ATI/Chiappa upper is a copy of the Tac-Sol upper. I have had very good luck with my Chiappa upper on my DPMS lower. Like anything, there are lovers and haters. The lovers are the ones who were lucky and got a unit that actually worked. The haters are the ones who got a POS and had tons of problems with them. Flip a coin and see which one you get to be. |
