I'm in a holding pattern waiting for a CMMG .22 Conversion Kit from BassPro.  It was supposed to ship at the end of January, then mid-February, now Mid-May.  They shipped the extra magazine I ordered with it in December.  I could get a Ciener kit right away, but I've heard better things about the CMMG and I already have the spare magazine...

So, my question is this:  Will the CMMG magazine work with other brand conversion kits?

Ceiner and cmmg are identical units.   The cmmg offer them in stainless while the ciener is blued amd may need to be polished befiore it will run at its best

Has anybody bought a conversion from Ciener recently?  Relatively recent experience? (within a year or so?)

The "immediate" order option includes a caveat re: increased price and "barring... election of Obama..."
Since there is no option to actually talk or email anybody at Ciener, I am now concerned that I may place an order at one price, be charged a higher price, and end up waiting as long as I might for the CMMG.

My wife and I are very recent AR-15 owners.  We are enjoying getting familiar with the beastie, but between cost and availability, we can't get the practice we really need to be competent.

You hit on the problem with Ciener, he has no customer service.  I have an Old Ciener kit I bought from a friend.  Personally I would buy used off the equipment exchange or G/B since I feel it is not worth the hassle to deal with Ciener in regards to any warranty.  The CMMG and Ciener design are similar but the CMMG has some improvements like, live round extraction or Stainless Steel.

Spare parts for the Ciener can be purchased from Black dog Machine, TAACOM  and other vendors.

check with target master or velocity if in stock. My target master has been running really good for the past year. Was cheap too at the time I bought it. It's pretty much a copy of the ceiner.
