I was just wondering if anyone's had experience with ruptured primers from using a .223 fire control group on a 9mm AR with an unramped bolt.

I'm thinking about replacing my RRA 9mm fire control group with an ALG QMS or ACT fire control group.  I have a QMS in another AR in .223, which I like.  When I test fit the ALG FCG into the 9mm, it seems to function fine.  No hang ups, no catching, I don't feel anything wrong, except the hammer strikes are considerably more powerful than the RRA 9mm setup.  I'm considering buying a second one for permanent duty in the 9mm.

I have thrown my 9mm Upper on my 5.45 dedicated lower with a Wolff Extra Power Hammer spring and i had no problems with damage to primers.

Only peripherally related to the original question, but is your bolt ramped or not?

It is a Ramped CMMG Bolt.

You should be fine with that hammer and trigger setup.
