Just got back from the range with my new CMMG 9mm that I posted about a few days ago. Amazingly well put together weapon. I did a complete cleaning a put a coat of 5w30 on the bolt this morning. The trigger pull leaves a little to be desired is about my only real complaint. It is a little spongy but it is consistent and repeatable so it will just take some getting used to. I zeroed the iron sights and flip up MAGPUL rear at 25yds. First 5 rounds were touching each other about an inch to the left of center. A few clicks later had the irons GTG. I installed my AImpoint and moved the dot just to sit on top of the front sight with the rear up. 5 rounds later were perfect left to right and 2 inches too low. I left it there. 200 rounds later and there were no malfunctions and every last shot out of both metalform mags held the bolt open. Just to see how tight the tolerance on the upper rail was I took the aimpoint off and reinstalled it back on T9 and it held zero perfectly.
I was told by CMMG that there is a nationwide backorder on these but if you are looking for a 9mm AR get this one. |
