| Hi ive just got a ST-22 and in the process of working out the best sling configuration , What i would like to know is where the buffer tube nut is , under it looks like a sling mount but its at 6 o'clock if i undo the buffer nut can it then be turned to 9 o'clock or does it have a totally different purpose and so i need to buy a sling mount to fit under the nut thanks for any help , it may be a dumb question but im a newbie atb gerry |

A picture would help tremendously. IT's kind of hard to decipher exactly what you have going on with your rifle.
More than likely you'll need a different endplate to use as a sling attachement, but we could be of much more help with a good photo of what you have going on with your rifle. |
| Its under the castle nut , its egg shaped piece of flat metal that the buffer tube goes through the fat end and the thin end is a hole , Every pic of a standard st-22 has this plate under the stock tube nut , I cant think how to explain any better than look at one or a pic and tell me what it is under the nut , i can email a pic but cant see how to upload on here thanks gerry |
