Do you have a rounded hammer or a notched hammer on your lower?

What ammo are you using?

Stainless conversion kit or regular?

We have a rimfire and pistol caliber forum that discusses these kits in detail.  Spike's discontinued their conversion kits for [insert any] reason.  A large factor to success appears to be the snug fit in the upper.  Are you running a buffer?  If so, there's now a company with a mock buffer that adds a little tension to keep the kit more snug in the upper.  There are a number of other tips in Spike's industry forum, from buzzing the chamber to different spings.

you need to use high velocity ammo to get them to cycle a lot of times..

Try some CCI Mini-mags and see how they work..

I used flitz and polished mine all over using the guide over on 'uzi talk' and it will now run on the Federal bulk packs just fine..

Some Black Dog Machine mags slipped out with the feed lips a few thousandths to tall.  This will cause stove pipe looking stoppages.  You need to be very specific on how the conversion is malfunctioning so others can offer the most probable solutions.

this is the spikes kit with the o rings on the chamber adapter and it is chrome or electroless nickle plated,

fits good and tight, the mainspring on the kit seems plenty strong

I was using the cci mini mag ammo, and black dog mags from black dog they seem to feed fine

cycles fine but it does not go into battery every time

i took the adapter off and tried the ammo by hand and there must be alot of inconsistancy in the 22 ammo cause some rounds drop in and some stop half way, if I had a working fa it would work fine,

should i open the chamber some?
will the cmmg fa adapter fit my kit?

I will move this to the 22 forum thanks

there is a Spike's industry forum. It has a thread for their conv kit.
