I'm sure that this has popped up some but I have a few questions about it.

Which is the best 22lr conversion kit going?

Are there any that offer a bolt hold open on the last shot with proper functioning?

I'm looking at the CMMG and then a Ciener kit on cheaperthandirt

If there are any others to research and throw in the mix please share them with me.

Thanks guys.

The only one that has the bolt hold open and foward assist funtion is the Evolution from CMMG.
You will not get that with the cheap kits.

I have both and I never shoot the Ciener anymore.  The CMMG has many improvements over all the other options.

I've tried them all except the USAF Conversion and CMMG's Stainless takes the
top slot with Target Master in number 2.

I have not tried them all but I have used a few. The CMMG stainless steel ones are pretty much the standard which others have to be compared to. There are various "levels" depending on your budget and wishes so you have options. Don't look at CDNN for a cheap price if you want the latest features as they are selling the older generation without the BHOA. Its a fine unit at a good price but its cheap because its not the latest generation.

I have a CMMG stainless steel model.  Works great, no problems, mostly use 36gr Federal bulk.  They do need cleaned every 500+/- rounds.

Do we know the manufacturer of the Target Master kits?

I worked with Target Master for a while. Who actually makes the parts and pieces, I don't have a clue.
I tried to make suggestions for minor upgrades and was ignored. Things kinda fell apart after that. Still
a good conversion though. Years ahead of JA Ciener...

I'd mentioned a few changes to CMMG old conversion years back. They listened and went way above
and beyond what I had brought up. Look where they are today because they took things to the Max...

Without a doubt, CMMG over Ciener.  I've been shooting a Ciener kit with a Kuehl barrel for years and it has run like a top after some tweaking but I'd still recommend CMMG.  If anything goes wrong, CMMG has great customer service which is non existent with Ciener.  I'd go with the stainless version.

I have the blued CMMG version no issues to report, I would have got the SS but at the time it was almost $100 more which I didn't find it  to be worth it. The blued kit was on sale, I  have not done a good range test yet, hopefully this weekend, I put 300rds through already though with no malfunctions.
