[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help picking a CMMG dedicated .22lr upper

I want to build a dedicated .22lr AR15 and have settled on CMMG but I have a couple questions. First, I noticed that in order to get the stainless upgrades, I must purchase through the manufacturer. This bothers me because they are at least 20% higher in price than other dealers $399 vs $329.

If I do order via CMMG, is the upper finish mil-spec anodizing or that shiny teflon coating? I noticed that the mil-spec is no longer an upgrade on the CMMG website.

Is the WASP M4 barrel lightweight profile under the handguards?

For those who have ordered from CMMG, what is the wait time for items in stock?

Did you try midwayusa or black rifle yet? I bought one with the stainless bolt and evolution handguard for $425 from black rifle.

CMMG M4 LEP dedicated upper is very nice and functions well!

Real Armalite M15 complete upper, CMMG bolt group. I'm not sure who make the barrel.
