I just built my dedicated .22 using one of their 18" uppers.  I was debating between Nordic and the CMMG but went with Nordic because their upper looks kickass with the free floating handguard and the bolt is pretty close to a 10/22.  I don't know if it's still on sale but I got mine for not a lot more than the CMMG.  If you look online you'll find nothing but positive reviews.

I got mine a couple of days ago and put a cheap red dot on it while I debate what optic setup I'm going to use.  Put about 200 rounds through last week and it shot one ragged hole at 25 yards.  I did get two FTE's but they were with the 10rd mag, subsonic ammo and with a can so I'm not sweating it.  With the 30rd mag the subsonic was fine.  I also shot Federal Bulk and CCI, no problems.  Actually I'm planning on shooting it again today.  I'm happy with my purchase so far.  Time will tell but it certainly appears to be well built.

ETA - Another 250 rd downrange, no problems.

Thanks for the info...

I'm debating between the Nordic and CMMG.

I really like the looks of the Nordic better, I just couldn't find any info on them.

Where did you purchase?   Their website shows everything out of stock.

What lower are you using?    What trigger pull weight are you using?

I've read of the problems with lighter triggers on other AR 22.

I was thinking of using a Stag lower with their 2 stage trigger.
Do you think I would have any problems with this setup?

Thanks

You can order the CMMG with a free float handguard!
That's how I did mine-

I don't have any experience with Nordics Upper but as closely related as it is to the 10/22,
It should be a great shooter. Standard AR-22's have had good luck with Stag Triggers so, I
don't foresee a problem with this type of bolt...

Good Luck, Happy New Year,

I'm debating between the Nordic and CMMG.

Where did you purchase?   Their website shows everything out of stock.  I bought from them directly. I know they are frequently backordered and they go fast.  If you call them or check their FB page I'm sure they can give you an idea when they'll be back in stock.

What lower are you using?    What trigger pull weight are you using?  PSA lower with a PSA LPK.

I've read of the problems with lighter triggers on other AR 22. The tech support guy I talked to said you can use lighter triggers. I know some dedicated .22 uppers don't work well with notched hammers so I went with the PSA.  Tech support said it would have worked with a notched hammer though.

I was thinking of using a Stag lower with their 2 stage trigger.
Do you think I would have any problems with this setup?  Doubt it.  Call their tech support guy... he seemed pretty knowledgeable and responsive...

Thanks

I have the Nordic 18" .22 upper since they first came out 2 years ago, and it is flawless.  Working off my old supply of crappy Fed bulk pack that seemed to be way under powered (my Spike ST-22 just pukes on this crappy stuff.)   I have the Nordic on an old RRA lower with JP trigger kit including the speed hammer.

Accuracy wise my ST22 with the Lothar barrel has the edge over the Nordic at 50 yds, but can't beat the Nordic for reliability.

Happy New Year to you all!
