I am seriously considering adding a SBR 9mm AR15 to my collection. My question is, if I buy a 9mm dedicated lower, will they accept both UZI and standard 9mm AR15 mags or do the UZI mags have to be modified?

I have a RRA LAR9 (9mm AR-15) I gotta say it is a fun weapon to shoot and accurate! It has the dedicated lower and uses modified Uzi magazines, however I have heard that some peolpe are able to use the cheaper C-Products magazines in thier weapons.

Most all 9mm AR's use the Colt pattern of magazines. Metalform, C-Products and Pro-Mag are the only manufactured magazines for this. All the others are Uzi magazines that have been modified to work in the magwell. This is done by cutting a notch in the mag body for the mag catch to grab on to. The plans for this are all over the net. Metalform seems to be the most consistant as far as quality and function, but they cost just a bit more than C-Porducts. The Pro-mag's are a last resort item. Good luck, the 9mm's are a helluva lot of fun and quite a bit cheaper to play with.

After shooting the CMMG 9mm SBR on full auto, I'm hooked too.
