Since I seem to have broken in my 22lr kit in with a steady diet of CCI Mini-Mags, I decided to see what else my conversion could handle. So it's a quick stop to Wal-Mart and a box of Remington Yellow Jackets catches my eye. 'Hyper Velocity'? Sure, that sounds like fun...

Today was not my day for the range, it was fraught with many weird failures unrelated to the course of fire... My first target falls out of the carousel and in to the firing lane, beyond retrieval. So my data for three 10 round groups is unrecoverable. On my second target, the screw holding the clamp to carousel loosens and again dumps my target in the firing lane. So I loose four more sets of 10 round groups. So, I get switched to a different lane and carry on with whats left.

This group had one dud, so only a 9 round group here.

All shots were taken at the 25 yard line:
1:9 barrel
CMMG 22 conversion
33 gr Remington Yellow Jacket
1500fps
Roughly a 1.75" group

Out of 100 rounds, I had 1 dud and one failure to feed. Not a bad ratio at all. This batch of ammunition definitely kicked up more smoke than the CCI Mini-Mags.

Not sure if there is a correlation between smoke kicked up and carbon build up on the kit but, this is the dirtiest I have seen this thing. Good thing stainless steel is a breeze to clean up.

All in all, I'd like to do this again. It was a blast to shoot and hopefully the second time around I can keep more of my data!

Looks like it shoots pretty well out of your conversion kit!

Remington anything in .22 is very dirty.
Sounds like my last trip to the range.
