I'm having a problem with my Aimpoint T-1.  At fifteen yards, for example, the point-of-impact (POI) is about nine inches below the point-of-aim (POA) and the elevation knob is maxed out.  I have checked the torque values on the barrel nut,  checked the screws on the mount, checked the mount (a KAC quick detach) and the rails on the upper are true to the bore.  Anyone have this problem?  What else could be the problem?  I really don't want to send the aimpoint back if I don't have to, but I'm running out ideas...

Here's the gun:

I would remove the KAC mount from the formula and re-zero.  If still low, then try it on another AR.  If still low after that, send it back.

I'm assuming it shoots fine with the backup sights, is that correct? If so it can really only be the mount, the Aimpoint, how the mount mates up with the upper, or how the mount and the Aimpoint mate up with each other.
Before pointing at either the mount or the Aimpoint I'd remove them from each other and remount them together, looking for anything preventing them from mounting flat together. Same with how the mount attaches to the upper, make sure there's no flashing or debris preventing the mount from sitting perfectly flat on the rail. Like already mentioned if you have access to another mount, try it in place of the KAC one temporarily to see if it changes anything. If not, all fingers point at the Aimpoint being faulty (or the elevation knob working backwards from what you'd expect).

Beautiful rifle, by the way.
