Going to be building a 9mm upper to use with a suppressor. Was going to put it off but I'm finding some nice BF  sales so I'm starting to pick up some of the parts.

Is there any ADVANTAGE or DISADVANTAGE to a 6" barrel over a 5" barrel? I see a lot with 5"  so wondering what a 6" would do for me? I understand the extra inch will/may increase vel. some but I do not think enough to make a diff since I'll be using subsonic ammo. I was thinking 6" because its about double my handgun barrels.

Thanks

I have 5" and 7.5 builds and they both run subsonic with the same ammo
suppressed and unsuppressed, yes the 7.5 velocity is faster but not enough to matter.

I went with a 5.5" myself.  The threads are the only thing that sticks out the end of the pistol length rail.
