I have a Colt conversion kit in my rifle and it runs well.
The trouble is it spits flecks of junk when firing, stings the cheek.

I have cleaned the dog poop outta the kit and barrel. I have used rtv sealant on the chrging handle to block any gas debris from coming back. It still spits with all kinds off ammo, doesn't matter the brand. Is there a tip/trick to make this trouble go away? Maybe its time to sell the Colt kit and buy the new CMMG dedicated upper............

Are you left-handed? I think a lot of 22 conversions blow stuff out the ejection port and if you are shooting lefty you are going to catch it. Maybe adding one of those gas deflectors like you see on 9mm blowback AR's might help. If you're not shooting lefty I don't know what to tell you.

Shooting right handed,,,,somewhere on the site I saw someone refer to an O ring modification to their 22 kit. Just can not find anything about it.

The O ring modification is on the Chamber insert where people cut a small groove around the chamber insert and place a small O ring on the insert to help alignment of the chamber insert to the barrel/chamber.  The O ring mod was adopted by spikes on their 22 conversion chamber adapter/insert.  This helps in keeping an AR cleaner and can't hurt accuracy with a snug centered chamber adapter.  I think all the 22 conversions are prone to spitting debris when firing because of the blow back action.  Some ammo seems worse than others.  Its possible the cartridges are not completely seating in the chamber during the feeding cycle which could promote more debris.  I noticed if I polish the chamber on my 22's I get better functioning.  If you can take your conversion kit out and hold the bolt back and see if an unfired 22 cartridges easily falls into the chamber and then turn the conversion kit up and see if the cartridge falls out.  If the cartridges hangs or doesn't come out easily I'd polish the chamber.  I used Flitz polishing compound or rubbing compound on a chamber mop.  I place the chamber mop on a variable speed drill and polish the chamber.   CMMG has also mentioned buzzing their chamber adapter/inserts in the helpful hints.   It might be worth a try.
