Can any one tell me if a Spikes 22lr upper will work with a timney 3lb drop in trigger?
Thanks, |

I could not get one to work with my TacSol uppers, but check this link - there is no mention of a problem with Spike's.
(The post is about half way down the page) http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=15&t=441890&page=11 |

Thanks the the reply, I shot a 22 upper at the range the other day and tried it on my lower/timney trigger and it worked fine. I didnt think to ask what brand it was though... The strength of the recoil spring, length of the barrel + the ammo used will make the difference of good cycling or not with some drop in trigger kits. |

Test standard velocity ammo cautiously, I've had some slam fire troubles with light trigger packs
and ammo with velocities of 1,000 FPS. One ran for 7 rounds with the Range Master looking over my shoulder. Ended that combination. Faster ammo worked fine as it kicked the bolt hard enough to lock the hammer back. Note: Tactical Solutions has had several bolt revisions so I'm not certain what will work with what. That's the reason I left it a little undefined in the other thread that was linked. JFYI, Dave PS: The post I made about Triggers and Hammers that work or don't is the latest version I have right now. No one seems to have much more to input to it. Hopefully we can remember it's there for years to come and update it when we can. |

(Tim at Nordic believes they will work with just about any trigger that will work with a .223 AR 15.) Tom |

I ended up going with a nordic upper so far no problems with the timney trigger, 1000rounds and counting and it seems to work fine I don't think you'll have any problems with the Nordic! They seem to be about the least picky on triggers of anything I've tried yet. I tried mine with RRA NM 2-stage and Geissele SSA triggers. No problems with either. |

I am happy with mine so far, do wish they would come out with the rails for their forearm thought.. |

HI all,
Just started to tinker with .22lr for the AR. First, thanks for the wealth of information you guys have put out here. Covered a lot of questions i would have had! Onto my question. I recently bought a spikes conversion kit. I run a 4lb. timiney trigger on my rifle. Using federal bulk first time at the range, i fired about 300 rounds or so. Wound up with about 30% FTF's due to light strikes. Thought i'd post here and see if anyone might have a solution to this. I'm not sure what to make of it after reading this thread. Any ideas/ solutions? Thanks all! |
