I'm about to get a TacSol upper in trade, and was kicking around the idea of converting it to an A2 upper. Would this be a direct drop-in? Does it need modified? Should I just buy a carry handle and keep the A3 (since this is a beater/practice/plinker, I don't ever see myself adding optics)?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |
| The Tac Sol upper is standard AR parts as far as mounting the barrel, etc. Its no issue to change the receiver, do it just as you would any other AR. I put my Tac Sol barrel on a billet lower and upper I had...I need to post a pic of that...and then used my Tac Sol receiver for a 9mm build on a Cav Arms lower. |

My vote is to add a carry handle also, I started out with the LW and smooth free float forearm. I have changed it some from original. It is great, 2 thumb screws and I can have red dot or scope, This is my funnest rifle I own. http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/qq174/ckyllomn/IMG_8641.jpg +1 Nice looking rifle! Thanks for sharing. What upper is that? |
