I Just traded 2,000 rounds of 17 mach 2 ammo for a new spikes 22 conversion, curious do you guys think thats was a good deal

also will the spikes conversion take the remmington golden ammo ok?

You may be able to polish things enough to run the Golden Bullets but
I've never had good luck with them. They work great in my 10/22's. Some
people have gotten them to run in various conversions but not many.
CCI Ammo would be a more reliable choice and should run without modification
to anything.

As far as a good deal, that's really up to you. If you smile when you shoot the Spike's
Unit it was a great deal.

Mine runs good on federal red box 525 and pretty goood on remington green box. really good on CCi mini mags.

Try Winchester 555 bulk. Very consistant and a decent price.

So is this Spike's conversion an enitre dedicated .22 upper or just a conversion kit to use with a standard upper? Was just on their site and I didn't see a "conversion".

Maybe I just missed it?

Spike's offers conversions as well as dedicated bolts and complete dedicated uppers.
