How do these CMMG .22lr conversion stand up to the Ciener? I like the chrome looking one.

Do they take the ceiner and all of the other aftermarket magazines ?

CMMG SST Stainless Steel if you have to have CMMG.
Yes Ciener style mags work....

I like CMMG quality and there supposedly an the exact design of the Ceiner . They look really nice.

I have decided to get the standard unit as carbon steel is slightly tougher than stainless and i will then get it hard chromed .

I just got back from the range with my new CMMG kit. I bought a box of bulk 525 count Federal and it ran like a champ. Put atleast half of the box through it with not a single malfunction. It was getting a little dirty towards the end of the session. I put 5 rounds of .223 through it at the end to clear out the gas system. Overall, I am extremely happy with the unit. Can't wait for my son to come with me this weekend to enjoy it as much as I did today!

I have a CMMG .22lr conversion kit and am experiencing problems with cartridge ejection. (Using Federal bulk .22lr 36gr copper plated hollow pt)

Anyone heard of a solution? I will take it up with CCMG Monday but just got this and was hoping to have a nice experience this weekend.

Thanks in advance for any tips/tricks.

Went back to the range today for some more .22 fun. Not as flawless today. After around 200 rounds I start getting FTF and FTE's. I'm pretty sure it's because it gets soooo dirty with the .22 ammo. If I remove the bolt kit, rinse it good with gunscrubber and relube, then clean up the upper receiver a little, I'm good for another 200 rounds or so before it starts having failures again. I also put 2-3 .223 rounds through it between cleanings to keep the gas chamber clear and to get a little of the nasty fouling from the barrel. Still very happy with it. Can consistently hit golf balls from 25-50 yards with no change to my red dot sight. Only shoots about an inch lower than the regular ammo. Also, it seems to like the Federal Bulk, CCI Mini-Mags, Winchester Subsonic and Remington Vipers, even though they are not round nosed bullets. Went through approximately 600 rounds today.

Oh, and one more thing. Sometimes I seem to have 2-shot burst mode with the conversion kit. Happens about once every 3 mags or so.

Sounds like the Chamber needs a good buzzing.  You will be able to go much longer between cleanings with all the crud out.

Do anyone else ever get the '2-shot burst' like I do with this kit? Only happens every once in a while. Seems like a slam-fire. I would check the indention on the rear of the case, but there were so many on the ground, it would be hard to find it.

I've fired less than 200 rounds thru my daughters AR pistol with the CMMG conversion and I sometimes would get 2 or 3 round bursts...it probably happened about 5 times in those 200 or so rounds.  I haven't had a chance to really break the conversion in so will try again when I get back to the States and it warms up back home.
