I just ordered a CMMG stainless kit from Palmetto.  I know that I have a RRA kit in my lower, so it has the notched hammer.

I plan on using trying it first before changing the hammer. I want to use this as a multi purpose. So I might want to put in a quality dropin.

If I need to change the hammer, and want to put in a Timiney or such,  would that be a problem with the CMMG?

Both have rounded hammers. The only problem would be from possible light strikes but with the "Speed Hammer Design I don't see that that would happen.
I have a Chip McCormick and a Wilson Combat of the same type and they both work fine.

I ordered a CMMG kit for my rock river lower this weekend as well. I tested a ciener kit and it worked fine in my rifle.

Does anyone know if these kits will function with the RRA 2 stage hammers?

I'm hoping to get mine by thursday so I can do IPSC practice with it. I have the RRA two stage notched hammer deal. If I get it by thursday I'll put at least a few hundred rounds through and I'll let you know if it works.

I recently picked up a blued CMMG kit and was wondering if I can expect any problems with running it in my stock 6920?

6920 is normally a 1:7" twist. Except for a few as 1:9" I've heard of. Aguila SSS, Sub Sonic Sniper
60 Grain will dramatically improve accuracy over lighter bullets. That's my only suggestion.

Good Luck,

My stainless CMMG kit has about 1000 rounds through it now in a RRA carbine (with notched hammer). No malfunctions at all. Mags are a pain in the ass to load and the included mag loader broke on the 4th mag.
