I am trying to put together a dedicated .22 upper for my AR. The ciener conversion works well enough, but I really hate having to
re-zero my rifle for standard .556 when I want to switch back. Soo.... which .22 upper is the best deal? The more I look the more I am confused. I know spike's upper is pretty good, but have also seen ads by model 1 sales, bushmaster, Wilson Combat, and Colt for .22 uppers. I am not really looking for anything fancy, just and M-4 flattop upper. Also, I also have 7 mags for the ciener conversion so it must be able to use my existing magazines. Thanks |

Thanks Maybe it is just me, but at 50 yds my 5.56 and .22lr conversion shoot about the same spot. Good enough to hit 2" spinners about every time. I had a spikes upper and I couldn't ever get it running 100%. I even sent it back to spikes to have them work on it. I know that others have had good experiences with them though. My buddies tactial solutions upper runs 100% out of the box and is about the same as the spikes (around $500 I think for the tac sol upper and $550 for the Spikes). I'd just stick with the ciener and practice with your actual go to go. At least that's what I do now. |

There are several range reports in this for dedicated uppers. Starting about 3/4 down page 2.
