I picked up a colt M4 lr.22 at the gun show this weekend The gun seem to have twice the inturnals has a real AR15 Over all its fun to shoot. |

Here are some of the 1st pictures I took , the rifle looks and feels just like a AR15

I shoot 30 round threw the rifle with some federals, no problem. But then I found out about the inner barrel when I remove the muzzle brake and notice the threads were the same as my Walter P22 and I just happen to have a threaded adapter for my suppressor. http://www.focusxtreme.com/colt22%20(11).jpg http://www.focusxtreme.com/colt22%20(12).jpg |

The allen screw is to adjust for the ammo used (high power or standard) I went to use sub sconic ammo and had some loaded problems and
miss fires, but after I adjusted the allen screw a couple time I'm good to go.Most of the rifle is aluminum(lower and upper receiver) for sure. The trigger is totally different from a AR15 http://www.focusxtreme.com/colt22%20(10).jpg http://www.focusxtreme.com/colt22%20(9).jpg http://www.focusxtreme.com/colt22%20(8).jpg http://www.focusxtreme.com/colt22%20(7).jpg http://www.focusxtreme.com/colt22%20(6).jpg The mag is awesome very easy to load but this mag only works with this rifle my BGM wont fit. http://www.focusxtreme.com/colt22%20(13).jpg |

Well I had to make the rifle my way and added a front quick release grip and ERGO grip oh and of couse the eotech

I'd bet they designed it the way they did to keep some stupid schmuck from mixing and matching upper/lower with a .223/5.56 gun and hurting themselves. That looks to be about the same quality construction as the Sig Mosquito and the Walther P22. Both of those guns have had their fair share of problems - slide cracking issues and other stuff generally falling apart as the round count gets higher.
I'd like to see how these hold up after 6 months to a year of solid use. If the reports of cracked receivers in shipping are any indication of build strength/quality, I hope those of you that bought them get your money's worth and the company stands behind them if there are any problems. |

Thanks for the report! Great pix, and lots of good information! I, too, worry about the durability of this gun, since it appears to be an upconverted airsoft gun (Ã la GSG-5). What about the mags? Are they really that much longer than a 30rd USGI mag? Do they lock back on empty? How much are spare mags? |

What about the mags? Are they really that much longer than a 30rd USGI mag? Do they lock back on empty? How much are spare mags? The rifle is lite weight shoots good and it locks back after the last round mags are $20 to $39 from what I've seen A lot of people buy ruger 10/22 and build them up to be assult rifles and spend just as much as the colt22 which would be better IMO |

Looks nice, but way too much pot metal for me. Kind of looks like a GSG-5 guts. I'll stick to my .22 conversion until my dedicated upper arrives. Cool that the Walther adapter fits. I agree with that way to much pot metal but I do like it better than GSG5 which I was thinking of getting. I have around 180 rounds so far and keeping getting better,Since I shoot behind my garage at 25yds the rifle gets cleaned every 60 rounds just to help break it in. |

did you try yours with a suppressor yet No, going to wait until Gemtech comes out with their adapter then try my bi-lock/M4-96D - probably going to dedicated it to the Colt/22LR. Only 5.56MM/M16 upper I have for my M16 is the stock A1 and I prefer it - don't fire the M16 "native" too much anyhow - no places to go - I can run it in suppressed 22LR about anywhere - even my basement.. Don't have any "real" AR-15's ..... I have my Gemtech Hornet (full-auto rated 22LR suppressor) dedicated to my Kuehl M16 22LR conversion and want to leave it that way. |

Can I get a little more info on the P22 adatper? Will the adapter fit a normal AR flash suppressor? I want to use the Noveske KX3 flash hider on my Colt 22LR. Why in the hell would you want to do that? The KX3 is not a flash hider, first of all, it simply diverts the blast/gases forward and is designed for <12.5" SBR's. With the lack of gas in a .22 it'd be pointless and just weigh down your front end especially on such a lightweight weapon with a 14.5" barrel.
Anyway, that adapter is available through Gemtech if I'm not mistaken. |

I just like to looks of it. does it have to be functional? no. its my gun. You're completely correct, it is your gun. While your at it, just throw a set of UTG rails, a fog horn, a 6" diameter spot light, an iPod dock, a cup holder, and a 2lb lead weight on there. It would all be just as functional
