what would it take really to modify a spikes or cernier bolt to work in a true lefty AR like the Stag 3L?
I kown you can't just flip the bolt over because then the mag recess would be on top. but if youcould cut it on the left and install anejector  on the left and then deactivate or remove the right side one -could that be done as a do it yourself type project? would spikes modify one of their in such a manner?
Just askin'. Got to thikin' too long about it. would be sweet to do though.

You'd just have to make a complete new bolt and rail in mirror image.
I would take 3 if anybody does a run.

yea, I was wanting to modify an existing conversion bolt by cutting it apart and puting the extractor on the left. I got to thinkin' that only the extractor needs to be on the left, everthing else is the same, so how to best accomplish that
was the question without making a bolt from scratch.
could one cut and install an extractor on the left side of the existing bolt? how would you do it yopurself?

Gotta move the ejector too.  On the Cieners, Spikes and CMMG - the ejector is on the left rail facing the ejection port.  The bolt would need to be machined with a slot on the right hand side and an ejector added on the right side facing the left side ejection port.  Makes my head hurt just thinking about it.  My friend has a left sided STAG and would love to get a left hand .22 conversion.  Strangely enough - the people at STAG (many years ago) looked into making a left hand .22 but it never got off the drawing board.  Don't bother them about it as my friend checked and got a very firm "NO" on production of the LH .22.

YMMV

I have a stag 3L  ,and I have a Spikes .22 upper ,my wife is left handed, occassional she go hit in arm with hot brass fromm .22 that ejected low and slow  from it . That's why she likes the 3L. I was hoping there was some basic machine shop steps to put ejector on the other side. I was going to ask Spikes if they would do it but I read in a Spikes Industry post that they consider lefties too niche a market to produce a left hand model
Best regards,

This interests me, also. I shoot right handed, but I have a brother that runs Stag lefties.
