I'm looking to get a complete .22LR flat top upper with a free float quad rail.  Who makes a good one?  I know of Spike's, any others?

And they're only $10 more than the Spike's.  What makes them better, if you don't mind me asking?

I have a Model 1 Sales dedicated upper.  Just curious, what makes Spikes special?

Edit:  I ordered it with a Yankee Hill lightweight free float handguard and Yankee Hill gas block and folding front sight too.  Pricey.

They're probably equivalent.

TacSol, Spike's, M1S, CMMG  all use Ciener compatible mags which are nearly the standard setup.

TacSol has a unique bolt.

Spike's, M1S, and CMMG are variation on Ciener's bolt.

The CMMG is a direct copy, M1S has some alterations which make parts largely non-interchangeable.

Spike's has a relocated firing pin retaining pin for  more reliable firing pin.

Spike's is electroless nickel plated to improve lubricity, reduce need for oil, which stays cleaner longer and is machined for the ball detent mod for full auto use( on a full auto lower).

If you have or aspire to own an M-16, Spikes or Ciener bolts ( and likely CMMG-I haven't actually laid hands on one) are the only ones intended to function properly in full auto, after the addition of 2 parts (or 4 in the case of Spike's:anti bounce weight, auto trip, detent spring and ball).

My M1S upper (actual Ciener bolt)and Spike's ST-22 upper both run well., shoot 5/8-3/4" @50yd.
