I have nothing too techincal to add other than I shot 100 rounds each of 3 manufactures of ammo; this was the result.
St-22 sits on Stag 2T lower. No modifications yet. I used a couple drops of Slip2000 on the rails towards the rear, very little on frontal portion. Fiocci bulk 38 grain CC HP - 1 FTF, racked slide, extracted, continued. Worked well. CCI Mini-Mag - 2 double feeds, 4 failure to extract, this was surprising since my AA conversion on my G17L loves the stuff, and its very touchy. Remington Gold Bulk - 8 various FTF/FTE - figured as much after reading the forums. I was happy with the Fiocci; 100 rounds may not be enough for a solid recommendation, but at this point I will say its worth a shot. I have ordered 200 rounds wolf and aquila and will test those as soon as they come in. If there is a preferred ammo section, my appologies for not posting there. I just need more options than federal bulk with these shortages. Has anyone tried the American Eagle bulk? Accuraccy wasnt tested so much as functionality; but after a quick glance at the paper that was 50 yards; the cci looked the tightest. All were from bench. /mods.. can you move this to st-22 range report in industry/spikes. oops. |
