I've been using a CZ V-22 mag loader I got from Dan at CCS. I saw where someone asked about these so I decided to post a test. Overall I think this is a worth while investment for active shooters. If you have only limited time to spend at the range and have several V-22 mags this loader is well worth purchasing. The loader is basically a modified Ram Line loader as made for the Ruger 10-22. Dan has adapted this loader to work with the BDM V-22 high capacity magazine, I've had this loader a couple of months and have loaded my shooting buddies mags numerous times. The loader takes a little getting used and I'd compare it to going from a single stage loading press to a multi stage rotating head design. You have to pay a little attention to what your doing at first but I was loading rapidly after only few mags. The loader is easy to load. There is a trap door on the back of the tower where you can dump live 22 ammo. You can shake the tower and the rounds fall right into the grooves. You can put at least 150 rounds in the loader at a time. I never filled the tower completely as I only had access to three mags at one time. Once the tower is loaded it stands on the base and his held in place by two retaining clips. I found if I put one cartridge in the mag and set the mag in the loader base it sped up the process and required no further adjustment. There is a screw with a rubber washer which is tightened to hold the magazine in the loader base. Once the mag and tower are positioned its just a matter of pushing a sliding button on the side of the loader which pushes the next round into the top of the mag. There is a slide on the tower which you must move up or down to access the next row of cartridges. I found if I stood next to bench and held the loader next to my stomach it helped me control the loader and thereby load faster. I also had good luck holding the loader in my lap while sitting in a lawn chair at the range. I learned I had to watch what I was doing because if the top cartridge in the mag slid forward the rounds could be jammed or not stack properly. I found if loading on the bench I could set the right side of the loader on a Brownell catalog it let gravity work to keep the top round in place in the mag. I've noticed no wear on the loader's plastic components. I did notice that Aquila 22 long rifle ammo did not slide through the loader as smoothly as US made ammo. I think this is because of the difference in the brass cases. You can load the Aguila but you might have to tap the tower to get all the rounds to fall in a row and stack. Dan is trying to fill a void for the CZ shooters and I think he's got a viable option. Dan seems to back his products and provides prompt service. If you like mag loaders or dread the pain to your thumbs you might give one of these a try.
