| I have a LWRC 10.5" 5.56 and I am looking at suppressors now for it. My question is can I shoot .22's through the same suppressor or do I HAVE to get a dedicates .22 suppressor? |
| You have a problem as most manufacturers don't recommend 10.5 for suppressor use as baffle strikes are very likely. Another problem is that 22s are very dirty and shooting lots of it will definitely clog a suppressor and all 223 cans now don't open up for cleaning. A few hundred rounds won't matter but lots will and especially running full auto; even ultrasound cleaners can't get all the crud out. Been there. |

I shoot 22LR as well as 5.56 out of my can. Use it on my 10/22, AR15's, and Ruger AC556 shorty (22LR and 5.56).
Never had a problem. I just take the can apart and clean it. 22LR on full auto sprays lead!!! Not all cans are sealed but I made mine. Works great and cost me $200!!!! |
