Well, lets bring you back a few months, I have been shooting .223/5.56 on the taxpayers $, and I really wasn't shooting .22. I traded my kit to a local guy on www.bayoushooter.com, so he could teach his young son how to shoot. Me being the nice guy I am, hoped that it would help a fellow shooters kin develope BRD. Fastforward to present day. I emailed Spikes, and they dont have chrome kits for sale (dont we all know, but I am very optimistic) It did pay off, because they did have some stock Ciener kits instock, not on the website, but OTP. So I ordered a kit (again) and 2 BDM fullsize. POP, has anyone electroplated their kit, to achieve the same results as Spikes is doing? Or will I have to order a Dedicated Upper to achieve a no lube solution? Where is ZacK3g when you need him? /end embrassing post.. slap my hand I never should have sold my kit.......... /run stockupon22.exe |

They can plate almost anything........for a price. Seriously though, NP3 is fantastic and would be a perfect fit on the Ceiner Kits. I believe the Spikes Bolts are finished in plain Electroless Nickel while NP3 is Electroless Nickel embedded with some type of Teflon(Nickel Teflon). You should also contact Boom Boom Tactical about this as well. I know he also offers Nickel Teflon refinishing services at a much lower cost than Robar.....same stuff just at a lesser cost. http://www.boomboomtactical.net/html/ |

If you plate them like ours your going to run into a tolerence issue, I promise. Our tolerences are totally different than a Ceiner conversion. The plating does help alot, cleaning is much easier and the finsh is much slicker so you dont have to run it dripping wet. The only finish I would consider on a Ceiner conversion would be ION Bond. If your willing to wait we should have our 22lr conversions done anytime now. |
I wish I would have known that yesterday when I placed my order with you.. I'll call you today and we'll continue this conversation via phone? |
