If you mean their "chassis" for mounting various AR components on a 10/22, $225 gets you nearly half way to a complete dedicated upper. I guess they're cool, but why bother?

With a dedicated upper you get the training benefits of IDENTICAL ergonomics to your AR, since it IS your AR.

After rereading the article I asked myself...but why???? If I want a 10/22 I will just buy one...the JAC is working well so WTF?

I have one on my 10/22.  Fully decked out, looks really cool in contrast to a stock 10/22.  With that said I haven't really touched it since I got my Spike's st-22 upper in.
The one thing that really bothered me was cleaning meant I had to break it down alot more compared to a stock 10/22 or a conversion/dedicated kit.
