Just got done building my first 9mm AR and took it to the range. It goes bang, cycles another round into the chamber but the trigger does not reset unless I pull the charging handle all the way back. It seems like the bolt is just is not traveling far enough back to cock the hammer but I am not certain. Wonder if anyone has any advice or things to look for? I tried it on my .223 lower and I couldn't manually cycle it (.223 hammer) but wanted to just make sure the ASA was not designed to be used with a standard hammer. Here is the combo: ASA 9mm Upper/BCG ASA Mag Block RRA 9mm Buffer Unknown brand 9mm hammer Colt, ProMag, and Modified UZI mags 115gr Blazer ammo |

I had the same thing. I ordered the below sping and it fixed my trouble. www.specializedarmament.com/products/DISCONNECTOR_SPRING_SEMI_S_A_HEAVY_DUTY-163-4.html DISCONNECTOR SPRING, SEMI, S/A (HEAVY DUTY |
If you use the dpms hammer, you should have your bolt ramped. I would change the spring anyway too. |

Thought I would share my findings for others having the same issue. I found a hammer that looks like the dpms hammer with the round corner instead of the notch and what do you know, it works! Ran a few mags through it today with out a single failure. THanks for the tips guys! |
