Hey Guys, Working on a new build for my BRD. Have been reading a lot of posts on this subject. Spike's 16" .22LR Upper M4 or Tactical Solutions AR-22 Upper LT T.E. From what a can tell reports seem to lean toward Spike's in reliability. I have little patience for a Jam-O-Matic. The Spike's has a 1 in 16 twist as opposed to 1 in 15 twist for the TS. I doubt this would this would make any difference in accuracy. True? Am I on the right track here? Oh, almost forgot, Do they make a speed loader to the Black Dog mags like the butler creek one I have? Thanks for any help. |

The TacSol barrels are 1:16 twist not 1:15. I have both makes and they both eat most ammo you feed them just fine. The Spikes bolt is nic plated and the TacSol is ss and both wipe clean with a rag. The TacSol shoots better groups but Spikes will be coming out with a better barrel soon and groups may change. Both uppers can have problems if used with the wrong hammer spring, hammer and wrong ammo but with some tuning up both will eat sub, standard and hivel ammo. |
Even spikes has problem uppers that get out. We can be thankfull Spikes and TacSol have great customer service if needed. |
