Hi All

I have seen the marketing pitch contrasting the "problems" associated with drop in conversions like the Ceiner kit versus the dedicated aupper receiver approach. The pitch states that the barrel and lands/grooves become leaded and a impossible to clean. I am also informed that the only thing to worry about besides good gun "hygeine" is to fire a few .223 rounds every 500 .22 rounds to clean the gas tube.

What is the tructh here? Do the drop in kits harm barrels?

A good bore scrubber will clean a barrel.

If that was true, then .22LR barrels would be impossible to clean.

I got a Ceiner kit and would buy it again. I have had no problems at all. It is a blast to shoot.
