Hey guys i just recently got a Ceiner Kit with some BDM Mags. The Ceiner kit feeds and fires perfectly but there is a 80% chance that the round doesn't extract. What happens is the round just stays in the chamber and i am forced to remove the kit and push out the casing. I lubed the kit very well and i am also using Fed Bulk Pack. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. -Thanks Byte_Block |

You might consider taking your extractor out of the bolt and polishing it. After a few hundred rounds I noticed the groove the extractor fits in would have a lot of dirt or gunk in it and I would start to have problems. If you polish the extractor and groove it should help. |

NO -that's why I was asking. These kits can be quite picky with ammo - but the Fed bulk should feed well. I just wanted to find out if lube and other residue is gunking up the chamber. Five the chamber a good scrubbing and maybe polish it up. I wonder if the chamber is a bit tight? I was under the assumption that if properly functioning, the bolt shouldn't even "need" the extractor - the blowback alone should eject the spent shell. |
| 99%-Look at the front inside of the extracor, ahead of the hook that grabs the rim, where it begins to angle. You should see a small shiney spot where the extractor is making contact with the grove in the barrel extention/back of barrel. If you were looking into the ejection port the shiney spot on the extractor would be facing away from you and the shiey spot in the barrel would be facing you. File very lightly on this shiney spot on the extractor, a little at a time. It is easier if you disassembly the kit to file. Mine ran 100% when firing but did not always extract an unfired round. This was my fix and worked for me in my kit. I also have had to do this to another semi-auto rimfire, a Ruger pistol, and was told this is not an uncommon problem. It only takes a few minutes. and comes with a "no-questions-asked-money-back-garuntee". 1%- you might have a poorly cut (or dirty) chamber. just my .02 EDIT- the filing allows the extractor to get a better bite on the rim. |
