I've been saving to order an AR45 receiver from Justin at CNC, but after reading about the royal screwing Mitch at Khalan has done to folks I can't help but wonder why Justin hasn't found someone else to do his receivers. Are there no other manufacturer's willing to take on this project? I'm also surprised that no one has gone down to Khalan and banged their shoe on Mitch's desk demanding action.
Just a bit pissed 'cause I've got a complete .45 upper and GG mags just sitting there, and no relief in sight.

TC asked several companies if they would make it, and KW was the only one willing.

I hate it for ya though, I've got a batch 1 lower here along with a few GG mags, and still havent scraped enough change to get an upper and stock for it.

I contacted 137 gun manufacturers and non but Khalan would take on the project. I'm working on finding another as we speak.

Not for the world.  The way things are going it doesnt look like I'd be able to replace it.

I have an AR45, I like the design better, but...until the final machine shop stuff gets straightened out, if I wanted a 45 lower right now, I would go with Bazooka Brothers BAZ45.   Look in TCs sticky 45  conversion thread for info.

don't forget the Cav Arms lower with the GG magwell adapter from Hahn.  I have been running that setup for a while now and have no regrets.

Thats what i was going to do. Looks alot better than the Bazooka bros lower IMO. and Im not about to deal with Khalan

If we can work something out with Tangochaser and Justin we might be taking on or helping out with the AR45 Project.

i really hope you guys can come to a good agreement.  i have a batch 1 ar45 and must say, it is an excellent weapon.  fun to shoot and it works very well.  justin and tc did the ar45 the way it was suppose to be done, no disrespect to the other options, but once you see the quality of the first batch you know and see justin and tc's vision.  it is a damn shame about khalan....wonder what happend after batch 1?  he got a new (better) cnc machine and then it all went to shit.  i can't understand it myself.

but for those waiting, the ar45 is excellent.

good luck tc and justin

Let's all REALLY hope this pans out and Spike's can assist with making the AR45 readily available. IMO it's too good a concept to let it die.

That would be cool. I am already out a bunch of money and all I got is a out of spec POS Khalan lower that I had to send back.

I might as well spend another pocket full $100 bills to get something nice.

I urge anyone that has been screwed, who have not received their receivers, or their receivers do not work contact the Arkansas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. www.ag.arkansas.gov/consumers_tips_file_complaint.html

I already have filed a complaint against Mitchell and Khalan Weaponry.

I also want to know what will be done by Justin and Bill to help make this right for those of us who were screwed.

As I said in your other post.

WTF? You have got to be kidding!

We are under no legal or moral obligation to "make this right". Each buyer made their own deal with Khalan to finish their lower. Justin and I have no say so in how Khalan conducts business. Both of us have spoken to Mitch about his poor business preactices and now he won't answer our calls or emails either.

We were lucky to find anyone willing to finish the lowers as a manufacturer. I contacted 137 gun manufacturers and Khalan is the only one willing to take on the AR45 project. The only other option was a 10% lower you had to finish yourself.

The fact that Khalan Weaponry went south in it's business dealings is no reflection on Justin and I. We didn't make you send your lower to Mitch, it was offered as an option to get your lower completed and was a good option initially. The first batch came out great with no issues. We had no way of knowing this was going to happen and no way to prevent it if we did.

We are sorry this has happened but your only recourse is legal action against Khalan Weaponry or go see Mitch in person. One of the customers needs to contact a lawyer and file a law suit against Khalan Weaponry. Maybe all the screwed customers should pool their money for a lawyer if that's what it takes. Sue the company.

This is not Justin's nor my fault and we have done everthing we can to get Mitch to man up. As a matter of fact, I believe Mitch has a bunch of unpaid lowers from Justin. He was planning on finishing them so in the future he would have lowers on the shelf ready to go, so Justin is out money as well.

I have been approached by a couple companies offering to look at getting into the AR45 market but nothing yet as Justin is hard to get a hold of these days. Once we get together, we will figure out our next step.

I'm sorry if I sound pissed but that statement was out of line.

Bill, I understand that you may be pissed by what I said and pissed at me.  You have put a lot of work into the AR45 and it looks like its going down the drain because of Mitchell.

Here's the thing, I believe that Khalan Weaponry is indeed an agent for Justin.  Justin sells an unfinished product, I purchase that product and Justin delivers that unfinished product to and recommends Khalan Weaponry to legally finish that product.  Additionally Khalan Weaponry has been given the rights to manufacture the AR45 receiver.  There is too much of a relationship here for Khalan to be an unrelated business.  It is not your fault that Mitchell has so screwed things up.  Yall have been on the up and up and flat out honest.  But there is a business relation ship.

I believe that my statement was more than appropriate.

How is this any different than buying a car, taking it to a custom shop (recommended or not) to do work and the custom shop ripping you off. Is the car dealer responsible for your loss?

If we had a contract with Mitch to finish the lowers, we would have a legal relationship. We do not. What Khalan has is "permission" to finish Justin's lowers. We had Khalan sign a non-disclosure agreement to keep them from stealing our design and selling it has his own. Khalan is not contracted to finish the lowers. he is authorized.

You contracted with Khalan to finish your lower.

Direct you anger and legal action where it belongs.

Edited to add;

I contacted or attempted to contact Mitch everytime you asked me to help. There is nothing more I can or will do to assist AR45 customers in getting their lowers back from Khalan Weaponry, except to reiterate that customers need to seek legal action against Mitch and Khalan Weaponry.

I am going to step out of the crowd here and say that you need to wind your shit in with statements like that.

Justin was turning out 10% lowers well before Khalen got involved and TC was actively soliciting for sources to take these 10% lowers to complete firearms. Khalen's shitty business practices aren't related to either Justin or TC yet here you are looking for someone to blame so you lay it on their doorstep.

Seriously, why the fuck should either Justin or Bill put any further effort into the AR45 concept if people are going to blame them for every misstep along the way and demand retribution? Don't you think their reputation is being harmed by Khalen's actions?

I dont like the idea of a plastic lower that I cant change the grip and stock on, otherwise I would have gone that route.  I was considering the BAZ45 lower but using modded mags was kind of a turn off.  Then I read about the AR45.

If not for Mitch the AR45 could be the best thing going.

What mods to the mags do have done with the BAZ45?

The early BAZ45 lowers required a mag catch slot be cut in left side of the mag for the regular AR15 mag catch to work. I know Bruce made at least one set up that used an unmodified mag but I don't know if it was added to production.

BAZ45 lowers still require a small notch chopped out of the mag.  Bruce does this as part of the service for the lower.
