I am working on a new 9mm project, RRA SBRed upper. I want to be able to use Uzi, Colt, and Pro mags. Is there a block that will do all of these?

The type of block that you will need is a colt type block.  RRA, Hahn Precision, and Colt make these types of blocks.  You would need to use modified uzi mags to function with the block and rifle though.

I am getting a Hahn Precision Dedicated 9mm Block for my build from Brownells.  It is a more permanent block.  Hahn also makes an upper loading and bottom loading block which can be taken out easily.

If you are making a permanent 9mm gun, I would go with Hahn Precision.  I hear that they make one of the best blocks around, but you can't go wrong with the RRA or Colt block either.

I hope the info I gave helps you out.

Good Luck and Happy Building!!

They only reason I dont like the Hahn block is b/c of the Ejector issues they always seem to have.

I would go with a Colt/RRA 1pc block, If you want to dedicate it M60Joe can Screw it to the magwell in the front with a nice little Cap Screw.

I dont want anything perminitly done the registed receiver. I see there are 3 styles, Dedicated which I do not want, and Top and Bottom. The Bottom load looks good do to the hold open feature. But does the Bottom loader work with modifyed uzi mags?

I believe it will work, but the bolt won't hold open as the follower on Uzi mags is different than a Colt mag.

Any other suggestions?

the Hahn Dedicated 9mm mag block is permanent only if you don't know how to remove the bolt catch roll pin.

All it requires to remove it is a punch and a steady hand.

I have one, and the only modification I've had to make is to slightly bend the ejector up and to the right to get more contact with the brass during ejection.

I have built numerous ARs so I dont think installing it would be a problem but being able to remove it with alittle less work would be good.

I believe CProducts is supposed to come out with their own magwell adapter soon.
