Are you guys putting anything out yet? Last time I talked to Angela she told me Mike signed off on the bolts but when I read the post in the industry forum it said "no bolts yet" as of 3/26. She also told me it would probably be another 5-6 weeks for my order. The time line keeps changing. I knew there would be a wait time but that puts me at 2-3 months. I realize Spikes wants to put out a top notch product but damn, the wait is killing us.

I checked yesterday and was told 4 weeks.  So I have awhile to wait.

We had an Issue with our Electroless Nickel Plater, The first batch of bolts didn't meet our Standards. He should have these Issues figured out now. We have 250 Shaw barrels and Flat top uppers Instock waiting on those bolts. I actually put together 27 M4 Uppers on Monday. We are still waiting for the Lothar Walther barrels as well. At this point we have our hands tied behind our back, We are doing everything we can to get these uppers done. At the same time Spike Isn't going to release a Product he is not 100% Satisfied with.

Thank you for the update Tom.  I ordered my M4 .22 upper on 3/12/08 and would rather have a quality product than something that will cause problems in the near future like the POS 10/22 I'm having to make do with until my upper arrives.

Keep up the good work Spikes.

That's awesome, a company willing to only put out quality product!

I'll wait a few more weeks to get an upper that runs 99.9%....

Guys be patient. I ordered mine 2/4/08.
Just enjoy the excitement of the prolonged wait.
Like anything "thing" once you have it the sense of excitement in
getting and trying something new is over.

Enjoy the wait and expect a better product.

Hey Tom, I know that other suppliers have you over a barrel, but are they giving you any kind of a time line for supplying the completed bolts?

I ordered an upper from you because of your reputation and I'm sure the finished product will be worth the waite, but I'm working on three months and I'd really like a realistic idea of when you're going to start shipping these things out.

If you went with a Shaw barrel the wait wont be to much longer. The bolts are currently in Production.

The man is in Orlando for Pete's sake.

What that has to do with not being able to answer a question on the expected delivery date?  I have no idea.

Hey guys.  Good to see your business growing!  I have built 2 AR's on your lowers.  Mine is one of your "INFIDEL" etched, my brother had just gotten out of the Army, so his has the ARMY logo.  Both went together beautifully and without a single problem, both get LOTS of attention at the range.  Look for one of my co-workers at FDOT to stop by Apopka in the next couple of weeks.  He just got back from his second tour in Iraq a couple of weeks ago.  I think he has his eye on the ARMY logo as well.  What can I say, good workmanship gets rewarded.  Suffer.

<grin>
