I have a modified ciener kit from spikes tactical... with a broken firing pin.

Where can I get a replacement?

I've read on here that some people have made their own from ar15 firing pins.  I dont know how, but someone will probably chime in shortly with the how to.

I've bought Ciener parts from Rick Kuehl at Kuehl Precision Firearms in Missouri (KPF).  Rick has a web site but you have to send a check or money order as Rick does not accept credit cards.  Rick is a good guy and has been very fast and dependable on my previous orders.

I had the same problem with my Spike's upper. Emailed Angela but no joy. I asked this question here earlier and got a ton of info regarding making your own from a $6 AR firing pin here. If you have any questions PM me and I'll do my best to help you.

Good Luck!

make one from an AR15 FP. ya need a electric drill, a vise, and a 3 corner or flat file. I use a 3corner file, it seems to work best for me. stick the FP in the drill, put the file in the vise, and grind down the dia of the head of the AR pin to match the original ciener pin. Don't cut off the extra part that the hammer hits, you'll do that almost last. when you do the shoulder for the ciener firing pin return spring, make it tapered about 45deg instead of a 90, it works just as well, and allows crud to run out when you spray it with carb/brake cleaner. I"m attaching a pic of one I made, it's easier to see than explain. the notch for the retainin pin needs to be rounded, not the vertical notch ciener uses, which is another weak point. I've used the same pin now for 3K plus rounds, it still works.

Ive got Over 4000rds through my Spike's upper now "With only 1 cleaning" and I Havnt had any issues what so ever. I dont really think a broken firing pin is a big deal. It can happen with ANY gun. Spike doesnt make the firing pins they are made by Ceiner, But im sure Spike has replacements avilable, if he can get them. Hes has the same avilabilty issues everyone else has with Ceiner. Thats why he is making his own bolts now. Ceiner's QC wasnt the greatest and avilabilty from Ceiner Just Sucks!

b/c of this thread i made my own today. it came out pretty damn good too. it took me about an hour to get it how i wanted it. and it worked perfect. my orginal Ceinier has about 5000rds on it now and just shows some slight wear. I think the hardening process sometimes gets over looked at Ceiner.

The Ciener firing pin's roll pin notch in my Spike's upper was not a very smooth. It was more like a trapezoid than U shaped. It broke right at the 'corner'. The notch I put in the AR pin has a smooth radius and I broke all of the sharp edges with a round jeweler's file. I've fired about 1k rounds so far with no issues.

The obvious advantages to making your own are....It's cheap, better material, can be made and installed in relatively short order (less time than waiting for a shipment to arrive), a satisfying induction/intro to WECSoG

Oh yeah, in case you lose/break the retention roll pin it's 3/32" X 1/2" and available at your neighborhood hardware store.

Kudos again to Clicker58 for providing the necessary measurements!

Good Luck orkan!

Wasn't BDM or somebody going to offer better replacement firing pins for these things?

Anything like that available yet?
I don't feel very confident in making my own.  That, and I don't have an extra AR pin laying around.
