I'm ordering a Essentials Arms lower and a RRA/DPMS LPK. I will also be using the Hahn dedicated mag block.

For the upper I am going to order a complete 9mm upper from ADCO. For a 9mm is there any difference between the midlength and CAR length gas system performance wise?

Does anyone have any pics of a CAR length gas system that has the gas block covered by the handguards and a midlength gas system where the gas block is covered by the handguards? This is the setup I'm debating but need to see some pics to help me decide. The pics of CAR and Midlength handguards on a 16" bbl would be preferred so I can see how it looks w/ the barrel length I'm forced to get.I plan to update this thread as my build progresses.

There is no gas on a 9mm... since I used an A2 upper, I used a carbine gas tube to lock my barrel nut and handguard cap, but it needs a bit cut off the receiver end so it dont get tangled withthe key on the 9mm bolt.

Here is an 8.5" 9mm covered by an oversize CAR length tube..
