I have seen threads on 9mm barrels 1/2x28 , 1/2x32 , 1/2x36
I dont know why they dont use the same threads.
My Noveske 9mm barrels are 1/2x28
and my garrison barrel was 1/2x32 until I chopped it and thread 1/2x28

My understanding is that they are not threaded 1/2-28 to pevent instaltion of a .223 flash hider. Which would KABOOM when fired.

I agree on the larger threads but you dont see many 9mm barrel with larger than the 1/2 x28,32,36 for sale.
I needed 1/2x28 for my EVO9 can and 3 lug adapters.
I have not heard of anyone breaking there barrel at the threads yet.
