Hi guys am wanting to put a free floated handguard system on my 9mm build. My question is will the handguards rotate or move since there is no gas tube since it is a 9mm? Thanks John

No, the gas tube doesn't factor in.  I used a Midwest Ind. Free float on my 9mm,  each half clamps to the outside of the barrel nut.  The one piece tubes attach to the barrel nut that comes with the tube.

Hope this helps

It might.  I've heard some complaints about bbl nuts on 9mms coming loose.

But heard about them on the internet, I've never actually seen it or had it happen to me.  Ive read about a lot more 9mms with FF tubes that havent come loose.

It should not rotate.  I put a FIRSH handguard from Olympic on my 45 ACP upper after looking a long time for price and quality (there's lots to choose from).  It is built like a brick... well, you know.  I also have a DPMS Tuber long handguard I use sometimes. It also works well.

As long as the proper torque is applied to the barrel nut, it should not rotate.  Heck, sometimes I wish it would turn easier when I'm trying to take the barrel off.
