Just got in from a gun show, where I got a Ciener kit w/10rd mag for 135 OTD.  Also  had Black Dog skinny mags for 25 OTD.   This was at the Knoxville, TN RK show, name of the vendor was JSE surplus.  If anyone in the area has wanted one for a good price, now might be your chance to grab one.  They had a box mostly full, I'm guessing over 20 or so kits when I was there this morning.

Hand cycled it for the past hour, heading out to break it in momentarily.

Well, I hit the range for a couple hours, and I'm stoked.   This kit is the best money I've spent in a while.
Broke it in with 100 rds of CCI mini-mags, with a few FTFs in the first couple mags, one double feed, and a couple of FTEs.  Each mag got better and better, and finally my last 4 or so mags dumped completely flawlessly.  After the CCI, I moved to Federal Bulk, which ran just as good as the CCI!  The Federal was way dirtier, of course, but for .02 a rd,  I can deal with it.
I was on the fence on this one for a while, but I wish I would have went for it sooner.  The only negatives that come to mind are that I'll never own enough mags, and none of my friends want to be the designated mag loader :(

DISCLAIMER - I AM NOT SURE ANY OF THIS WAS NECESSARY.

When I got my kit, I hand cycled it about 10-15 times, enough to mark the parkerizing where bearing surfaces were contacting.  I cleaned the very well with brake cleaner till it was free of oil.  I took a dremil with a buffing wheel and polishing rouge and  polished every point of contact up.  I did not go to mirror finish, just knocked the park off.  I mirror polished the feed ramp and chamber though.  I re-oiled it and shot it and I have yet to find a brand of 22lr that it will not cycle.

I think they should be required if you own a AR-15.

I had trouble with mine at first... liberal oil application made it work like a porn star needing a coke fix.

My buddy's rifle wouldn't run it though...  He's got an early 90s Eagle Arms M-4.

I have done the polish bit in the past, but just this past week I got a new ceiner for a friend with my C&R discount and he wanted to run it . Took it out of the box, stuffed it into his bushmaster and went to town with lead federal ammo . I guess he ran 150 rounds before it got dark with not one skip.
I run mine dry most of the time, sometimes some spray silicone. With a tight unit the plated ammo and oil (as recomended in the manual) might help but I can't see how it is needed in most . A dru or dry lubed unit will run lots cleaner !

I slicked mine up with Rem-oil before hand, but I don't think it did much besides turn the powder reside into powder/oil mud.  After a good cleaning, I'll probably stick to just using graphite lube on the rails.
Meant to add that my Black Dog Machine mag ran 100% without any modification.
