Ok i hopefully have a RRA 9mm upper with everything included even the magwell adaper coming soon, with the UZI mags do they need to be modified? or is that only to hold the bolt open on the last rnd?  any one have a good guide or pics how to modify them?

Also any one use the Promags??

Here's some great info for converting UZI mags to fit Colt/RRA system. The specs, instructional video, and information is provided by other forum members.

As for Promags. They seem to get mixed reviews, but work great for me. They're also fairly inexpensive compared to other options. I originally bought 2, then ordered 8 more if that's any indication how much I like them. At $10-$13 each when caught on sale, it's hard to go wrong by getting a few.

I only use Olympic Arms pistol caliber uppers after fighting with a Colt 9mm trying to make it feed.  But, my neighbor recently traded into a Colt 9mm AR again, and had the same problem as the one I had did.  Factory Colt mags and converted Uzi mags both caused constant misfeeds.  But he did get one polymer magazine, which I believe is a Promag, and it completely solved the problem.  It works great.  So well that he just ordered five more.

If I didn't use converted STEN mags, I'd get a mag block and use Promags.

My RRA eats everything I feed it through UZI mags... and some other non common subgun mags
