Uh....I'm no expert but, the ad says its a "Dedicated" upper yet requires a Ciener kit ????
I thought if it was "dedicated" then a conversion wasn't neccessary. Can someone educate me, please ?  Thanks

I believe in this case "dedicated" means that it has .22LR bore and rifling specs and no gas system.

Yeah... all the high end .22 dedicated uppers use the ceiner conversion.  Kuehl, KKF, etc.

I bought one of these at auction and wasn't too happy with it.   The upper is pretty crappy and it has a larger than standard rear take down lug, therefore my DIAS would not fit over it.  The barrel had a slight bulge in it, and there is no barrel nut, the free float tube serves as the nut.   I tossed the upper, used an Oly leftover upper and now I have a funtional .22 upper with a Trident 9 Auto can on it.  I was pleasantly surprised that the bulge in the barrel didn't seem to effect accuracy, but it should have never been sold, at least without disclosing that fact.

No.  Compass Lake uses the M261:  http://www.compasslake.com/22uppers.htm

Accuracy Speaks uses whatever the customer provides:  http://accuracyspeaks.com/public_html/22lrar15.htm

I've heard of at least one made on a Rodman (USAF) conversion.

You are right Edlmann...  The point I was making is that dedicated .22 uppers are built around a .22 conversion kit.  I should have elaborated better.
