is there a 45 cal AR being manufactured. A TV ( Shooting Gallery)show was talking about it today and it sounds like they didnt think it would work. thanks

Yeah, sure.  Olympic arms sells complete 45acp rifles.  RRA is working on a propriatary 45 cal rifle cartridge.  Page down a few to find talk about TangoChaser and Bazooka Bros lowers to take grease gun mags with the oly uppers.

Bushmaster is supposed to be coming out with a new .45 Bushmaster caliber in 2007. It is to compete with the .50 Beowulf entry weapon.

The 9th picture down in Tangochasers post is my LaFrance .45acp.  It runs flawlessly.  So yes they do exist and do work very well.  

There are three things that limit what is possible, Time, Drive, and Money.
