Lose the 9mm hammer !! ........  the hammer is TOOOO short,  the lost material from ramping will not set the hammer deep enough to catch the disconnect, so it follows...

Refer to DPMS or a funshow vendor for 1 of these --

Use the middle hammer for semi-auto use... hammer at left is for full-auto, and hammer at right is a waste of time..

I thought ramped bolt carriers could use notched hammers.

Then please explain how the rifle cocks loads the first round and fires it since manually cocking the rifle is the same action as the gun cycling under it's own power.

Primary sear is catching the hammer on a manual cock and not the disco?

I know you know more than me about these things.  I'm just thinking out loud.

ETA: the carrier probably moves back past the ramped portion when it cycles anyway, so maybe it's a trigger problem.

check to make sure you put all the springs in correctly.  Especially in the trigger system.

Just checked the spring setup against a rifle that functions perfect. They look to be the same. What is the difference in a 9mm hammer and the one pictured in the center photo. The front of the hammers look to have the same shape?

Mr Dave, you should know better...  your the fella that set me straight back when I got my barrel made elsewhere and it would not funtion.

Manual cycle via charge handle will allow primary sear to catch the hammer readily (finger off trigger).

He says it will fire, but will not reset hammer..... the hammer has to go back a slight bit farther to catch the disconnect, then when trigger released to put hammer back on, it (hammer moves forward slightly when it trade from disconnect hook to primary sear. No catch disconnect, the hammer will follow.... cycle bolt with finger off trigger to remedy malfunction, the rifle will fire and repeat the hammer follow again.

I just tried my 9mm upper on my LMT 5.56 lower with 2-stage LMT trigger and I have the same problem - I can manually cock the hammer, but not while shooting. The bolt has been ramped. What options do I have now?
